All kits come with standard 5" brackets.  This is normally adequate for mini-blinds, verticals, and a standard drapery rod.

If you would prefer your cornice to be closer to the wall, we offer a 3" bracket as well.  If you have shutters, we recommend placing the cornice just above the point where your shutter will open.  Many people prefer a 3" bracket with shutters to shorten the cornice distance from the wall.

Windows with multiple coverings, such as sheers and drapes may require your cornice protrude more than 5" from the wall.  For this situation, we offer a 5-7" adjustable bracket.

If you are planning to mount your cornices from the ceiling you will need to order the 5-7" adjustable bracket and utilize the tear drop portion of the bracket for your mounting bracket.

Our brackets are specially made for our cornices.  They have a lip that fits in the tuck groove in the back of the cornice- this is the same groove that the fabric is tucked into.  Once the brackets have been mounted to the wall, you simply push the cornice onto the brackets.   The cornice will fit snuggly to ensure stability.

Helpful hint:  If you are using 3" brackets or 7" brackets, you will need to shorten or lengthen the end caps to accommodate the bracket size.  If you are using 3" brackets, you will need to take 2" off of each end cap.  If you are using 5-7" adjustable brackets you will need to add the desired number of inches onto each end cap.
